Eddie Mathews slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Bob Shaw was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Milwaukee Braves
beat the San Francisco Giants by a score of 6 to 4.
Mathews enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He blasted a solo shot in the 1st
inning and cracked a two-run shot (his 2nd of the season) in the 3rd inning.
Milwaukee rapped out 7 hits for the night.
Shaw(1-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Jack
Sanford(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 4 hits and 2 walks in 5
