Left fielder Harvey Kuenn had 4 hits at Candlestick Park where the San
Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in 10 innings 3 to 2.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. San Francisco came
out the victor in the 10th inning. Kuenn delivered a single. Ron Perranoski
then let loose a wild pitch. Jim Davenport then laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Willie Mays was up next and he would hit into a fielders choice making San
Francisco victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Los Angeles
was out-hit by San Francisco, 9 hits to 4.
The win was credited to Bobby Bolin(8-5) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
Perranoski(5-4) ended up with the loss in relief.
