The Milwaukee Braves defeated the San Francisco Giants by a score of 5 to 2 at
County Stadium.
Milwaukee took the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring one
runner using 2 hits. Del Crandall slapped a base-hit, and an error was also
committed. After an out was recorded, Gus Bell stepped up to the plate and
he doubled scoring the run. Tony Cloninger(6-3) was helped out by Don
Nottebart who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 6th save.
Billy O'Dell(15-9) took the loss. Milwaukee now has a record of 66-59. With
the loss San Francisco now has a record of 79-45.
