Dennis Bennett pitched a complete game at Shibe Park where the Philadelphia

Phillies beat the San Francisco Giants 2 to 1.



Bennett(7-6) was very good in the win. He allowed just 5 hits and 2 walks in

9 innings. San Francisco had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
