Willie Mays ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Juan Marichal completed the

game without help from the bullpen as the San Francisco Giants outscored the

Los Angeles Dodgers 5 to 4.

Mays had a big evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd

inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 36th of the season) in the 5th

inning. Despite losing, Los Angeles out-hit San Francisco 10 to 7.

Marichal(15-2) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Stan

Williams(4-8) suffered the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6

innings of work.
