One run was the difference at County Stadium as the San Francisco Giants
defeated the Milwaukee Braves 6 to 5.
The game was won by San Francisco with a run in the top of the 8th inning.
Willie Mays cracked a solo homerun (his 33rd of the season). Milwaukee made
it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Bobby Bolin(6-5) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Don
Larsen earned the save, his 4th. Don Nottebart(5-4) took the loss in relief.
He allowed 1 run and 1 hit in 1 inning.
