Orlando Cepeda smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the San Francisco Giants

defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5 to 0 at Forbes Field.



Cepeda had a big day with his bat. He lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 1st

inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 28th of the season) in

the 3rd inning. After the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score.



Jack Sanford(10-8) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 2/3 innings and

allowing no runs. Harvey Haddix(5-9) was charged with the loss. He

surrendered 5 runs and 6 hits in 5 innings.
