Tom Haller slammed 2 homeruns at Colt Stadium as the very potent San Francisco
Giants beat the Houston Colt 45's by the count of 10 to 6.
Haller enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He launched a Grand Slam homerun
in the 1st inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 16th of the season)
in the 5th inning and lashed a single plating a run in the 8th inning. San
Francisco ended up with 17 hits for the game while Houston had 11.
The win went to Mike McCormick(7-5) who allowed 6 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Dick Farrell(12-7) absorbed the loss. He allowed 4 homeruns in 6 innings of
work.
'They made a couple of mistakes and I took full advantage,' Haller said 'next
time I'm sure they'll pitch me tougher.'
