Third baseman Bob Aspromonte cracked 2 homeruns and Ken Johnson went the
distance as the Houston Colt 45's outscored the San Francisco Giants 6 to
1.
Houston went ahead for good in the top of the 3rd inning plating an isolated
run utilizing 2 base hits. That early scoring held up. Houston finished
with 13 hits in the victory.
The victory was credited to Johnson(4-6) who went the distance, allowing 1
run. Mike McCormick(4-4) was given the loss. He gave up 6 runs and 12 hits
in 6 and 2/3 innings.
