Cal McLish tossed a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the San

Francisco Giants by a score of 7 to 4.

 

In the top of the 7th inning Philadelphia scored 3 runs.  The big moment was

provided by Roy Sievers who helped quiet the crowd when he smashed a two-run

homer (his 8th of the season).  Philadelphia had a total of 9 hits for the

game.  

 

The winning pitcher was McLish(4-2) who allowed 4 runs for the game. The

losing pitcher was Bobby Bolin(4-2) in relief.  

 

Philadelphia continued their winnings ways improving their record to 27-20.

They are 8-2 in their last ten games.  With the loss, the San Francisco
