Willie Mays touched them all at Sportsman's Park where the San Francisco
Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5 to 2.
St. Louis fell behind quickly as the San Francisco offense came through in the
first inning plating an isolated run. Harvey Kuenn took matters into his own
hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 3rd of the season). San
Francisco rapped out 7 hits for the night.
The win was credited to Juan Marichal(4-2) who went 8 innings allowing 2 runs.
Jim Duffalo earned the save, his 1st. The losing pitcher was Bob
Gibson(2-3).
With this win, San Francisco has a 15-13 record. They have been 6-4 lately.
With this loss, St. Louis has a 5-5 record of late, 11-17 overall.
