In a lop-sided win the San Francisco Giants ripped the Houston Colt 45's by a
10 to 5 count.
San Francisco came up with 7 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the
help of 5 hits. The big moment was provided by Orlando Cepeda who excited
the crowd when he lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 10th of the season). San
Francisco finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Don Larsen(3-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Larsen
was helped out by Bobby Bolin who recorded his 3rd save. Bobby
Tiefenauer(1-2) suffered the loss in relief.
