at Candlestick Park.

 

San Francisco went ahead for good in the 2nd inning scoring one runner

utilizing 2 base hits.  San Francisco had 13 hits overall, while Houston had

Mike McCormick(3-2) went 6 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Bobby Bolin

recorded his 2nd save.  Ken Johnson(1-3) was charged with the loss.  

 

This win by San Francisco continues their recent hot streak.  In their last

ten games, they have a record of 9-1.  For the season, they are 22-14.

Houston's manager was pretty down after the loss.  'We've really been

sputtering along lately, something like 2-8 in the last week or two.  That

won't get it done.'
