The San Francisco Giants defeated the Houston Colt 45's by a score of 5 to 2

at Candlestick Park.



Houston never recovered after San Francisco took the lead in the 7th inning

scoring one runner utilizing 2 base hits. Houston went down without a fight

in the 9th.



The victory went to Bobby Bolin(9-10) who went 4 innings, allowing no runs.

Ken Johnson(11-15) was charged with the loss. Despite taking the loss, he

whiffed 13 batters in 7 innings.
