Jack Sanford threw a complete game shutout at Dodger Stadium where the

impressive San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of

3 to 0.



Sanford(17-9) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Los Angeles

hitters. He didn't give up much, just 4 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.

After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.



Stan Williams(10-9) ended up with the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings

giving up 6 hits and 5 walks.
