First baseman Orlando Cepeda had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the San Francisco Giants

came next and he delivered a base-hit. Haller took second on the throw.
Jose Pagan then slapped a one-base hit making San Francisco the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration. For the game San Francisco out-hit
Milwaukee 16 to 8.
Gaylord Perry(1-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 4 innings. Don
Nottebart(5-6) took the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 3 hits in 3
innings.
