The powerful Los Angeles Dodgers edged the San Francisco Giants in 12 innings

at Dodger Stadium by the score of 5 to 4.



The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Finally, Los Angeles pulled

the game out in the 12th inning. After an out was recorded, Wally Moon

cracked a solo homerun (his 3rd of the season) giving Los Angeles the victory

and sending the 45,347 home-town fans home happy. Both teams totaled 9 on

the afternoon.



Stan Williams(10-8) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Billy

O'Dell(16-10) was given the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 11 and 1/3

innings.



The winning ways continue for Los Angeles. They now have a record of 8-2 in

recent days. San Francisco has a record of 87-50 after the loss.
