Frank Robinson ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Candlestick Park as the

Cincinnati Reds beat the San Francisco Giants 5 to 2.



Robinson led the offense for Cincinnati. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'

in the 4th inning and smashed a two-run homer (his 37th of the season) in the

8th inning. Cincinnati out-hit San Francisco for the game, 9 hits to 5.



Bob Purkey(20-7) got the win allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. Purkey was helped

out by Jim Brosnan who recorded his 10th save. Jack Sanford(16-9) was the

losing pitcher.
